Foundiz is a distributor of small to large equipment for piling, drilling, vibrating or even pressing sheet piles and tubes. During InfraTech 2025, the foundation specialist will show some special innovations from January 14 to 17.
Foundiz is a young company fully specialized in the rental and sales of foundation equipment. With dealerships such as Soilmec, Dawson, Gilbert Products, Beretta, Müller, Mecbo and STA a wide range of products is offered for the foundation industry. The Etten-Leur-based company also modifies new and used foundation machines to customer specifications and supplies grout or concrete pumps, accessories and lifting equipment.
From years of experience, Foundiz develops various innovative techniques to help clients make a difference. For the installation of sheet piling, specialized equipment is available and a patented method has been developed. Furthermore, the company supplies machines and accessories for special techniques, such as jet grouting, screwed pile walls, diaphragm walls and soil improvement techniques. Foundiz can also provide innovative machines for vibration-free installation of foundation piles and sheet piling. This can also be done emission free!
The stand during trade fair InfraTech in Rotterdam Ahoy refers to the zero-emission sheet pile pressing machine, which is being built in cooperation with Unitial Technologies of Eindhoven. "Abroad, zero-emission is not as current yet, which is why we will make the transition to manufacturer," explains Patrick van der Schaaf of Foundiz. "For the near future, developing our own machine line according to the silent-piler principle is on the program: emission-free, vibration-free and low-noise."
Besides a compact model for inner-city use, Foundiz's focus is also on a foundation machine in the 15- to 30-ton class, for emission-free drilling or vibrating piles in hard-to-reach places. "We are now still in the phase of mapping which battery pack is required for which type of piles and coming up with a powertrain to go with it. The next step is to develop an electric sheet piling machine within the SSEB project. A first prototype should be ready within a year and a half."
Also on display at InfraTech is an animation of a new technology for vibration-free installation of concrete sheet piles formed in the ground instead of steel piles. Besides the logistical advantage of saving on the supply of entire loads of sheet piles, this method has more pluses; it is faster than sheet piling, is vibration-free and offers opportunities for a high degree of recycling. "A development that we expect a lot from and that is worth looking at," says Dr. K. K., president of the company.
Of course, the Dawson formwork system will also be highlighted. An innovative and sustainable technique for the realization of concrete deck gaps on sheet piling, combi piling and variants thereof, which was successfully applied in Zwolle this year and is now entering its second phase. Patrick: "From Baretta we are showing a compact, electrically powered mini-crane that fits through a door. Ideal for indoor foundation repair. From Dawson an attachment vibrating block will be on display at InfraTech for work in combination with an excavator."
