With the payoff 'strong solutions', the Van Schie Group will take visitors into the world of the versatile organization during InfraTech 2025. A group of companies, each with its own specialism, but with the same mindset: tackle. At their interactive stand 1.200, the strong solutions of Van Schie, Janson Bridging and HP Staal literally come to life.
We emphatically present ourselves as a group during InfraTech 2025, says Bastiaan Hulsbos of the Van Schie Group. "Van Schie is our civil engineering branch and infra-generalist, Janson Bridging is the world's largest lessor of temporary, modular bridges and with HP Staal we are active in the purchase, sale and rental of steel. The three entities strengthen each other and complement each other perfectly in many projects. And we show this at the fair. The passing visitor is triggered and stimulated by a giant LED screen on which our activities come to life via 3D animations."
The infrastructure sector benefits from the connecting force between the various entities of the Van Schie Group in several areas. "We realize accessibility solutions at all levels, ranging from driving plates or a temporary bridge to complete pontoon islands," says Bastiaan. "And we always do that in a smart and innovative way with our sustainable products and machines. Innovation is therefore high on the agenda. We have the drive to constantly improve and do it better and better. Among other things, that results in ever new developments."
Janson Bridging launched a new bridge type two years ago. "The JSB-4 is the fourth generation within the established JSB series of plate girder bridges with which we are able to achieve longer, free spans," explains Bastiaan. "Thus, fewer supports are required. But improvements have also been made in the area of joint transitions. It makes this modular bridge extra quiet." With the JSB-4 bridge system, Janson Bridging has built the largest temporary highway bridge in Europe (94.5 by 32.5 meters) right through the city center of Amstelveen. This as part of the road widening of the A9 between Badhoevedorp and Holendrecht.
Van Schie's latest VSP1250 pontoon is also innovative. "With a height of 1.25 meters, the pontoon is not quite twice as high as the VSP770, but it does have almost twice as much buoyancy," Bastiaan points out. "They are ideally suited for working with excavators and cranes from the water. Sand tippers and other trucks can also drive over them effortlessly. Ramps are not required for this purpose. The pontoons can be equipped with all kinds of accessories and fittings, such as fences, ramps and spud pole holders, and can also be linked both lengthwise and breadthwise. This allows us to build complete islands, also fully certified, in full compliance with current laws and regulations."
And so the Van Schie Group keeps improving and developing itself. "At InfraTech 2025, we will give visitors a glimpse into our world and we will gladly enter into the conversation, also with other companies, governments, clients and colleagues, because we all stand for the same goal: building the future. We contribute to that with our strong solutions."
