Dealing with climate change, stress testing, trenchless techniques and digitization are among other current themes of great importance in the sewerage sector. By incorporating these themes into the new, well-stocked RioleringsVakdagen Theater, the explicit wish of visitors to attend more knowledge sessions is fulfilled. The exhibition organization is working towards a future in which the exhibition becomes a total platform for the industry where networking is central, business can be done and visitors are informed about the latest developments and themes.
Themes in the Sewerage Trade Days Theater
This coming edition will result in the RioleringsVakdagen Theater with on Tuesday the theme: recovery of raw materials from the sewer, on Wednesday: the future of maintenance and inspection and on Thursday: sewerage in the climate-adaptive city. Various industry partners, including Stichting IKN (Innovation Knowledge Center Netherlands) and IKT (Institute for Underground Infrastructure) will fill these sessions. IKN Foundation also occupies IKN Street with some of their members. The IKN Foundation is a collaborative organization that focuses on collecting, organizing and sharing knowledge of the wastewater chain. With special attention to innovations and decentralized solutions around urban wastewater.
Attention to wastewater transportation
Deltares will bring an up-to-date knowledge program specifically for the wastewater transportation professional to the CAPWAT Community of Practice on Wednesday, March 20. The Community of Practice originated from the CAPWAT research project (2004 - 2010, CAPacity Losses in WasteWATer Pressurized Pipelines) in which the mechanisms for the generation, stagnation and discharge of gas bubbles in wastewater pressurized pipelines were investigated. The CAPWAT project has provided a great deal of new knowledge on the robust and efficient design and management of wastewater pressure pipelines with respect to hydraulic aspects.
New! Fitting Demonstrations
Also, for the first time this edition, fittery demonstrations will be given by the fittery teams of Waternet and Waterbedrijf Groningen. The Fittery Competitions Committee (Royal Dutch Water Network) is collaborating with fair organizer Easyfairs and giving the teams additional training opportunities for the biennial national championships during the Amsterdam International Water Week.
