The department Urban Development makes Amstelveen the best city to live, work and play in. For example, by transforming offices into student housing and being in touch with our entrepreneurs. By ensuring cleaner air, but also by anticipating the Environment Act and providing the best possible service to citizens and businesses. We don't like to micromanage - with us, you are the owner of your own projects. We work hard and know how to get things done, but we also have fun together.

The department Projects and Consulting is responsible of the policy and execution of projects in public space and our property. Together with over 100 colleagues, we draw up plans for the maintenance of the roads, parks, sewers and all other municipal properties in the public space. In our department you will find subject specialists in the fields of traffic and traffic engineering, construction, civil engineering and greenery. In addition to policy and advice, we are also an engineering firm; our project teams work enthusiastically to maintain public spaces and our property. They do this by maintaining and constructing roads, parks, neighborhood landscaping, community centers and schools, for example.
