"We are proud of this beautiful Dutch product," says Joost Wassink of ACDE Netherlands about Zijtveld's demolition and sorting grapples. "That's why we sell them under the original name and no longer as our own label. Wassink immediately explains the new series of compact demolition hammers from Finland's Rammer, part of Sandvik Mining and Construction.

To start with the latter. "Rammer has developed a new compact series," interjects Wassink. "These hammers have the advantage that they can be used on a wide line of machines, deliver tremendous striking power and also have a high striking frequency." 

The hammers feature hose connections on both the top and back of the hammer, making them more widely applicable than similar models from other brands. The chisels can be changed without tools and the hammer features a chisel bushing complete with impact sleeve in one. This makes maintenance even easier than before. 

Also as a retrofit

The hammers can also be modularized with a fully protected lubrication system, additional wear protection and Ramdata®, also retrofitable. The latter means that the hydraulic hammers in the Excellence Line are equipped with a sensor with which the performance, as well as consumption and maintenance of the hammers can be viewed anywhere in the world. The so-called RD3 system can also be retrofitted to any Rammer demolition hammer built after 2009.

Wassink: "This makes Rammer the first equipment manufacturer to equip the tool with remote data access as standard." RD3 transmits all data to the cloud. When a hammer is in operation, Ramdata collects data on position, location, movement patterns, tilt, temperature and usage (i.e., operating hours) and sends that data back to a central location.

Wassink: "In addition, the hammer is equipped with a disengageable dead blow protection, this to extend the life of the hammer and chisel, but also disengageable if necessary. All this together with the best service and also a very interesting pricing, makes Rammer the Best of the Best." 

Understanding in the market

But ACDE has more in its range than just demolition hammers. Companies can also visit Duiven almost 24/7 for other equipment in demolition and recycling. "Take for example the grabs from the very Dutch Zijtveld," says Wassink. "With more than a hundred models, Zijtveld has long been a household name in the Netherlands and far beyond. For every machine there is a suitable grab. ACDE Netherlands is dealer of the only real Zijtveld demolition and sorting grab produced in the Netherlands. For a long time these were sold under our own label, but we have now chosen to proudly carry the Zijtveld brand outside to reinforce the beautiful Dutch product." 

According to Wassink, the product was produced according to the quality guidelines we should expect within the Netherlands. Therefore, the gripper has more than proven itself over the years. "During maintenance, parts are immediately available from stock in 99 percent of cases. A grab ex-factory in your own company color or customization is certainly also among the options."
