RINO® trailers, part of Nooteboom Trading in Zeewolde, was founded in 2008 by Igmar Nooteboom. He is already the fifth generation from a family of trailer builders. Igmar initially started with the purchase and sale of used trailers. Towed equipment for special transport quickly became a specialty.
Over the years, Nooteboom Trading has focused on unburdening the customer. 'Your Load Suits Our Solution' is the credo. This includes loads up to 115 tons by road or modular, linkable and self-propelled vehicles for loads up to 1,000 tons.
In 2009, engineering and production of its own trailers also began under the name RINO® trailers. Low-maintenance Heavy Duty trailers with rigid axles were designed for heavy work in Africa and the Middle East. For the European market, RINO® developed an (extendable) mega trailer with a very low dead weight and high coupling pressure. Meanwhile, the program of RINO® trailers has expanded to include flat trailers, city trailers and ballast trailers, with or without steering axles in various weight classes.
"At the time, we were one of the first to introduce the so-called mega-machine trailers," says Igmar. "I soon realized that what transporters are concerned with is being able to carry as much as possible within the 40-ton total weight. That requires a low dead weight , but stable and strong. Our trailers made of high-quality steel can do this."
For the European market, Nooteboom Trading has a very diverse portfolio of used trailers for special transport. From flat (extendable) trailers, semi low loaders and low loaders to modular axle sets with various attachments or self-propelled module trailers (SPMTs) for the really heavy loads.
Meanwhile, special transport has entered a difficult time, igmar believes "If you want to be able to continue transporting large loads within the current legislation, you have to look at your vehicles in a different way. Stricter regulations call for trailers that are as all-round as possible. For a while these were semi-low loaders, but nowadays they are mega trailers. Those are suitable for very diverse loads."
A short-term project or a one-time transport of a special cargo? Nooteboom Trading has the solution for that too. The modern rental fleet includes various low loaders, extendable flat trailers, heavy semi low loaders or mega trailers. "Try before you buy. I often say," Igmar said, "And everything starts with good advice. That's where I like to help."
Nooteboom Trading can customize any trailer to customer requirements. On its own premises, Nooteboom Trading has a very modern equipped workshop with washing area and spray booth. "From a simple job to modifying a complete neck or making a module trailer remotely controllable. We can engineer and execute everything ourselves. And development never stops. The same goes for us. Noote-boom Trading and RINO® trailers will continue to develop and expand in the future."
