Rototilt further expands activity in Benelux

Rototilt, Sweden's leading manufacturer of excavator accessories, continues its growth path with a new branch in the Netherlands. The company has become a leading player when it comes to turntables, (fully automatic) quick couplings, control systems and attachments for excavators. With this new step in the Benelux region, Rototilt aims to strengthen its presence and provide an even better service to customers in the Netherlands.

Establishment in the Netherlands should help increase market share

The tiltrotator was born in the mid-1980s from a small workshop in northern Sweden, but the first prototype did not immediately meet expectations, so engineers had to go back to the drawing board. The initial phase was one full of challenges, and although the Rototilt definitely had potential, the product ended up gathering dust in a corner of the factory. During the crisis in 1991, the manufacturer went bankrupt and Anders Jonsson - the current CEO - managed to acquire the brand name and all patents. As a manufacturer of rotators for grippers and polyps, he saw something in this design, and under his leadership the company grew steadily to now more than 300 employees and sales of more than 100 million euros.

Rototilt's updated RC series of rotary tilt attachments attracted a lot of interest at Bauma a year ago.

As the founder of the very first rotary tilt, Rototilt has a strong focus on innovation. According to Jonsson, the expansion with its own branch for the important Benelux market is in line with its determination to continue to innovate and expand. "We see a lot of potential for Rototilt in the Benelux and know that Jason shares our vision. He has all the key capabilities to further establish the brand and contribute to its expansion in Europe." Jason Sanders, appointed Country Manager Benelux, adds: "By placing our own flag we want to take the next step, with the presence this region deserves. Through a larger dealer network, we can serve existing and new customers even better."

Increase market share

The message is clear: the Benelux is too important for Rototilt not to be present there with its own branch office. The company's location in Echt, Limburg, is strategically convenient to the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. In one year Rototilt BV hopes to move into a beautiful new building in Echt with offices, workshop and warehouse. With Jason Sanders a Country Manager has been appointed with over 18 years of experience in the equipment industry. Sanders is determined to take Rototilt to the next level in the Benelux. "This market is very important to us because the majority of mobile excavators are equipped with a tiltrotator. But interest in associated attachments and automatic quick-change systems - especially within the demolition sector - is also growing rapidly."

Rototilt has always had a strong presence in the Benelux, where products have been sold through an importer for some 20 years. In doing so, the focus is usually on multiple brands, whereas the aim is to fully
dedicated to its own products, services and service. Rototilt Benelux BV constitutes a strategic move to serve the growing Benelux market even better through its own dealer network and associated support in the region. Sanders: "The Benelux market is developing rapidly, which is why we are keen to establish a strong position. There are obviously several players in the market, especially from Sweden, so competition is fierce. Still, we want a bigger piece of the pie."

Being distinctive

Quality, safety and reliability are inseparable from Rototilt. Even though quick couplers or rotary tilters have many similarities, under the skin there are enough features to set them apart. For example, as the original on the market, the RC series features a cast, oil-filled housing. "That makes us unique and ensures unprecedented robustness," Jonsson knows. "Rotary tilt attachments have forever changed excavators into tool carriers, providing additional flexibility, accuracy and up to 25% more efficiency on the job site. Changing equipment quickly gets the job done faster and also saves fuel by driving around less. So it's a win-win situation."

Rototilt is not standing still. The manufacturer - also a member of the Open-S Alliance - continues to invest in development in order to increase or improve its offering. Rototilt Control is an innovative concept, which listens to product names such as RC™ Joysticks, RC™ Tiltrotators, RC™ System and RC™ Connect. The latest addition is the RC3, a rotary tilter in the 6 to 12 ton class. With the RC9 for carriers up to 43 tons launched last year, Rototilt already clearly indicated its focus on a wider range of models. Another innovation is the electric connector Q14, which improves the reliability of fully automatic quick couplers and has been nominated for the World Demolition Awards.
