Since 2008, Inpieq has offered a wide range of compact foundation equipment for use on small-sized or hard-to-reach sites. With the drilling rig type IFD 4/C, the company is further expanding its existing range of foundation machines. The novelty distinguishes itself not only in terms of dimensions from similar equipment. Thanks to two electric motors, it is also possible to drill completely emission-free and with low power consumption. And that completely without vibrations.
The future belongs to compact foundation equipment. So reads the title of an article on the website of Inpieq. The headline fits perfectly with the activities of the Steenbergen-based company, led by owner Frank van Deursen. "Compact foundation equipment has indeed been our showpiece from the beginning," he says. "In the form of the IFD 4/C, we give further substance to our range of customized foundation equipment for use in the smaller spaces." The drilling rig, consisting of a compact drilling cabinet and ditto machine developed and manufactured to customer specifications, meets the client's requirements in every respect. During execution as well as during transport. "Our client was looking for a compact machine that is not only easy to use in smaller sized places. It also had to fit into the containers used during transport. We were able to meet both needs. And more."
The drill box features a drill pipe clamp with a passage of no less than 355 millimeters. That makes drilling with larger pipe diameters possible, even if the pipe is tromped. "And that's pretty unique," Frank believes. "There are very few other products with that kind of clearance. Most stop at 273 millimeters. This one goes considerably further."
With a width of 80 centimeters and a height of 195 centimeters, the machine itself is ideally suited for use in the smallest inner-city spaces. Thanks to two independently operating electric motors, it does so completely emission-free and without excessive power consumption. "This allows you to run on one motor while moving the machines. If you want to start drilling, the second motor can be topped up to the desired power," says Frank, who goes on to point out more welcome product features. "The machine operates completely vibration-free. Furthermore, it has its own auxiliary crane that allows the user to effortlessly insert the drill pipe into the drill box. Finally, the unit can be supplied in combination with our Data Logging System, the system for automatically calibrating foundation piles and recording machine data."
