The new articulation/oscillation joint on Yanmar Compact Equipment's all-new V7 and V7-HW (Heavy Weight) wheel loaders keeps the overall machine height under 2.5 meters, making them ideal for easy transport.
Yanmar Compact Equipment (Yanmar CE) is expanding its wheel loader portfolio with the launch of a brand new duo of small yet powerful machines. Please welcome the V7 and V7-HW (Heavy Weight). This dynamic twosome represents the smallest wheel loaders in Yanmar's product range and is specifically designed to stay ahead of the fast-changing demand and tough requirements of construction, landscaping and rental applications.
With an overall height of less than 2.5 meters, a width of 1,850 mm (with bucket) and an overall length of only 5,100 mm, the V7/V7-HW easily fits into a standard container. This ensures that the transport machines remain below the prescribed height limit of 4 meters, set by EU directives.
The all-wheel-drive V7 and V7-HW both have electronically controlled powertrains and a top speed of 20 km/h. This is expandable to a maximum speed of 30 km/h. Customers can further customize their machines by choosing from a premium range of tire brands and sizes, making the V7/V7-HW perfect for any application, no matter how tough the terrain.
"The Yanmar CE V7, with its compact dimensions and impressive capabilities, is the smallest wheel loader in the range, weighing from 4,250 to 4,450 kg. This machine has been completely redesigned, with its own 48-hp Yanmar engine, a comfortable cab equipped with an innovative display and joystick, and easy operation that goes hand in hand with a maximum travel speed of 30 km/h," says Coen de Kok, sales consultant at Geert-Jan de Kok, official Yanmar importer for the Netherlands.
Unlike other models in the Yanmar range, the new V7 and V7-HW are also unique in that they no longer have external oscillation and instead have a smart joint that combines articulation with oscillation, which allowed the height of the machine to be lowered. The machines are also half a ton lighter than the second largest machines on offer. This makes them exceptionally maneuverable, making them ideal in tight spaces.
Whether transporting materials, moving loads, lifting pallets or laying or clearing pipes, it's all possible with the V7. Thanks to the hydraulic quick-change system, the operator changes seamlessly between buckets, forks, sweeper or whatever. Versatility is accompanied by a mechanically operated joystick for precise control of the lift and bucket cylinders. A flow rate of 63 l/min is available for hydraulic attachments at 250 bar working pressure.
The V7 and V7-HW have a bucket capacity of 700 and 800 liters, respectively. At 1,900 kg, the Heavy Weight version can lift about 150 kg more on the forks, and the tipping load is also higher: 3,250 versus 3,000 kg. Heavy loads are thus no problem for these light and agile models.
To provide maximum comfort and safety for the operator, the V7/V7-HW is equipped with a completely new cab with a door on both sides. The large glazing and the fact that the exhaust pipe is integrated into the counterweight guarantee good all-round visibility. Large mirrors and powerful working lights contribute to safety, especially now that the weather is getting dark earlier. The skylight helps the operator when dumping at height.
As icing on the cake, owners also no longer have to worry about downtime. This is because the V7/V7-HW is equipped with a Yanmar 4TNV86CT four-cylinder turbodiesel. In addition to the low emissions of this engine, it can run as many as 6,000 hours without scheduled diesel particulate filter maintenance. This is the perfect outcome for customers who work long hours in the construction or agricultural industries.
"In the Netherlands we are looking for machines that combine comfort and capacity, and the Yanmar V7, which is being built at the factory in Crailsheim, Germany, meets these requirements. We have already received the first applications and have become extremely enthusiastic ourselves during extensive testing," Coen de Kok concludes.
