A new design and improved safety for the Renault Trucks range for regional and urban distribution

Renault Trucks introduces the new design for the vehicle range specifically for urban and regional distribution including specific features for the electric models. The new design is inspired by both the manufacturer's light commercial vehicles (LCV) and heavy trucks, making the Renault Trucks D, D Wide, C 2.3, D Wide LEC (Low Entry Cab) and the Renault Trucks E-Tech D, D Wide and D Wide LEC a bridge between the two segments. In addition to the new design, a series of new safety features have been added for even greater protection of both drivers and vulnerable fellow road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.

Changes to the external design

Renault Trucks' designers gave the vehicles in the D & D Wide range a makeover to create a clear visual link between the brand's heavy-duty trucks (MHDV) and light commercial vehicles (LCV).

The 100% LED headlights create a new C-shaped signature, inspired from the passenger car segment, that establishes a direct aesthetic connection with the light commercial vehicles. Design features have also been adopted from the brand's heavy vehicles, such as a new upper grille and a "π" shape placed on the front end. A generous space is reserved on the grille for the carrier's own visual identity.

The electric versions, the Renault Trucks E-Tech D, D Wide & D Wide LEC, are also visually distinctive thanks to a fully painted front end, including the grille. The grille is also embellished with a subtle "E-Tech" batching highlighting its graphics. All vehicles also proudly bear the new Renault Trucks logo.

Even more safety features for urban environments

In order to effectively collect waste, distribute goods or carry out distribution or light construction work, Renault Trucks D & D Wide, C 2.3, D Wide LEC and electric Renault Trucks E-Tech D, D Wide and D Wide LEC often operate in densely populated urban centers, where access opportunities and space for trucks are increasingly limited. With the aim of reducing driver stress and improving their safety, that of their cargo as well as the safety of other road users, Renault Trucks has equipped its range with new safety systems.

Improvement of vision

The entry handles and position of the rear-view mirrors have been modified to improve direct visibility, making it easier to maneuver through narrow streets. Sensors and cameras mounted around the vehicle provide real-time information and alert the driver when necessary, contributing to safer and easier driving.

Smart safety features

In addition, features such as automatic tire pressure monitoring TPMS, lane departure warning (LDWS), a lane keeping system and traffic sign recognition with speed notification significantly improve road safety.

Finally, the trucks are equipped with new rear-view mirrors for better direct visibility and safe driving and maneuvering.
